Ingredients

1 medium bunch broccoli (1-1/2 pounds), cut into spears1 can (14-1/2 ounces) reduced-sodium chicken broth1/2 cup chopped onion3 teaspoons minced garlic1 tablespoon butter1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon dried basil1/4 teaspoon pepper2 teaspoons shredded Parmesan cheese

Preparation

In a large saucepan, bring broccoli and broth to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5-8 minutes or until crisp-tender.

Meanwhile, in a small skillet, saute onion and garlic in butter until tender. Stir in basil and pepper. Drain broccoli and place in a serving bowl; add onion mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
