Ingredients

1/3 cup butter, softened3/4 cup sugar1/3 cup light corn syrup1 large egg3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted1 teaspoon vanilla extract1-2/3 cups all-purpose flour1/2 teaspoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Preparation

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add corn syrup and egg; beat well. Stir in chocolate and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; add to chocolate mixture; beat well. Stir in walnuts.

Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until edges are firm. Remove to wire racks to cool.
