Ingredients

2 pounds extra-lean ground turkey2 celery ribs, chopped1 medium onion, chopped1 medium carrot, grated3 garlic cloves, minced1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce1/2 cup chicken broth1/4 cup Louisiana-style hot sauce2 tablespoons brown sugar2 tablespoons red wine vinegar1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce1/4 teaspoon pepper8 hamburger buns, splitCrumbled blue cheese, optional

Preparation

Cook the first 5 ingredients in a Dutch oven over medium heat until turkey is no longer pink, breaking it into crumbles. Stir in the tomato sauce, chicken broth, hot sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and pepper; heat through.

Serve on buns. If desired, sprinkle with blue cheese.
