Ingredients

3/4 cup all-purpose flour3/4 cup whole wheat flour1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder1 teaspoon ground cardamom3/4 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/4 teaspoon salt2 large eggs1 cup fat-free milk3/4 cup reduced-fat sour cream1/2 cup packed brown sugar1 tablespoon butter, melted1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, sour cream, brown sugar, butter and vanilla. Stir into dry ingredients just until combined.

Bake in a preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer’s directions until golden brown.
