Ingredients

2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour1/2 cup sugar1/2 cup packed brown sugar1 teaspoon baking powder1 teaspoon baking soda1 teaspoon salt1 egg1-1/4 cups evaporated milk3 tablespoons canola oil1 teaspoon vanilla extract1/2 cup dark chocolate chips1/2 cup hazelnuts, coarsely chopped1/2 cup coarsely chopped maraschino cherries

Preparation

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugars, baking powder, baking soda and salt. In a small bowl, whisk the egg, milk, oil and vanilla. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in the chocolate chips, nuts and cherries.

Transfer to a greased 9x5-in. loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.
