Ingredients
1/4 cup butter, softened1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar, divided1 large egg1 tablespoon agave nectar1 teaspoon vanilla extract1-3/4 cups white whole wheat flour1/2 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Preparation
In a large bowl, cream butter and 1 cup sugar until blended. Beat in the egg, agave nectar and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and cream of tartar; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and remaining sugar.
Shape dough into 1-in. balls; roll in cinnamon sugar. Place 2 in. apart on baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Bake at 375° for 9-11 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 2 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks.
