Ingredients
2 cups butter, softened1-1/2 cups sugar1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar4 large eggs, room temperature2 teaspoons vanilla extract1 teaspoon water4-1/2 cups all-purpose flour2 teaspoons baking soda1-1/2 teaspoons salt3 cups semisweet chocolate chips1 cup chopped walnuts
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in eggs, vanilla and water. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
Press into two greased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake until golden brown, 18-20 minutes. Cool in pans on wire racks. Cut into bars.
